Makino's new D500 5-axis vertical machining center's three ultra-high torque DD motors provide high levels of accuracy, even in heavy work pieces like this mold block. The dual drive A-axis resists torsion to improve accuracy, while the high thrust machining can be performed far from the pallet surface and center line with no vibration.
